The micro optic via (through hole) has a wide range of applications.  Micro-Via with surrounding micro-optics is shown here. 10x MicroStructures has developed several pioneering designs that integrate both the optics and  micro-via into one system.  The integration of these two entities will save down stream processing, material cost, and overall product expense.
